Chicago Dental Society Makes Chicago Smile at Annual Midwinter Meeting
Need a reason to smile? Try 35,000 dentists. That’s the number of dental professionals who gather in Chicago each year to check out the latest innovations in dentistry. The Chicago Dental Society (CDS), organizers of the annual “Midwinter Meeting”—one of the largest dental conferences in the country—aim to gain local recognition for the Society as a leader in the dental community in Chicago and the United States.
Since 2004, Valerie Denney Communications has partnered with CDS to conduct media outreach around the annual conference. A key component of the annual outreach is a survey of CDS member dentists, created by VDC, that polls members on the serious—such as cavity causing agents and proper brushing techniques—and the silly (what’s really worse than a root canal?). Results generate fun and quirky information featured in the New York Post, Star Magazine, Self Magazine, Chicago’s RedEye and the BBC.
