Casey, MacArthur and LISC Work Together to Help Families Build Wealth

In a world of credit cards, sub-prime loans and currency exchange stores, it can be almost impossible for low-income families to manage finances and build wealth.

Working with The Annie E. Casey Foundation, The MacArthur Foundation and LISC, VDC organized a two-day funder conference in Chicago’s iconic Chase Building to discuss the Center for Working Families model. Center for Working Families is a three-tiered approach to help people navigate the often confusing processes associated with banks, credit, social service benefits and employment opportunities.

VDC worked on invitations, registrations and PowerPoint presentations to create a forum for Center for Working Families’ experts to present their successes and challenges to more than 100 attendees from some of the nation’s leading foundations and social service agencies.
